ESC Experts Present at the EBSA 2022 Conference
The EBSA 2022 Conference on 19th-20th May in Ghent, Belgium, follows on from the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic and was aimed to be the meeting place for biosafety professionals to connect and share effective and practical approaches learned during the pandemic.
ESC’s presentation on the first day of the conference looked at the key standards which are now shaping the way the Biosafety Industry is managing risk in high containment facilities.
The presentation titled ‘Functional Safety: The Missing Piece’ by Jaspreet and Simon looked at how the regulators are now taking a more holistic approach and inspecting all technical areas of operation including biosafety, process safety and functional safety.
Organisations are also increasingly becoming aware of the need and requirements to demonstrate compliance with Industry Standards which are considered Good Practice.

“It was great to be part of the annual EBSA Conference this year where we had the opportunity to speak and share our experience working in high containment facilities. It’s a fantastic initiative where professionals from the industry can get together to network and share knowledge – looking forward to going back next year!”
